Our Objective

Sustainability

We believe that fashion should be hands-on. Replacing the factory production, we infuse care, respect and humanity into everything we make.

As we continue to learn and grow in this area, our efforts remain aligned with eco-focused manufacturing, ethical production of the highest quality and care.

Ethic production

Our Slow Fashion Vision

We take pride in making each and every item in low quantity batches. Through our crafting process, we can closely monitor quality standards within the cozy quarters of our Alberta home base studio.

We are far beyond your standard hair accessory, our designs are handcrafted with close attention to details and care. Following along with us while we gain our vision for a sustainable future.

Quality Eco-Focused Manufacturing

From your favourite pair of mitten, to our hair accessories, we strive to deliver the highest quality promoting ethical fabric selections. When possible, we use use fabric incorporating natural fibres. We try our best to ‘up-cycle’ and use eco-minded companies, and using up remnants or repurposing garments.

Quality over quantity

We take enormous pride in our efforts to continue our commitment to crafting our products ethically and sustainably. We don’t believe in fast and cheap. Nor do we sacrifice quality to cut expenses.

Our first step: we work hard to source the best materials, with eco-friendly and sustainable materials. All of our products are handcrafted by myself in my home base studio. Having that said no one item is ever exactly identical because we are not a factory. Rather, we are a creative space providing doing what I love most; sewing and crocheting.

Our Story

Hafsew’s Creations began back in 2020 when I was diagnosed with Postpartum depression and anxiety.

I began to learn how to crochet, and sew in 2019 via YouTube. This was my healthy outlet I thrived in.

In 2020 my husband and I both lost our jobs due to the global pandemic. Little did I know then, what an amazing opportunity this would turn into for our family and our growing business.

Having my daughter and myself in mind when creating each product we carry from fabric chosen to styles we choose these are products we genuinely adore.

Where did our name come from?

I knew I wanted to have a name that stood out, when you heard it you knew who they were talking about.

My husband Tim came up with the name Hafsew’s since my last name is Hafso it was clever, unique and a name no one else had. We added Creations at the end to symbolize everything we make is our ‘Creations’.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to do what I love from the comfort of my home.

XO, Savannah
